The muscles under our conscious control, the skeletal muscles from the muscular system. Our phisique is contoured by over 700 muscles, which account for around 60 percent of the mass of the body. We need muscles for every move we make. The muscular system springs into action to make our bodies move, in response to massage from the brain. Even when we are motionless, our muscular system is still at work, providing support to our skeletal frame. From the smallest twitch to the coordinated efforts of the breathing muscles. The muscular system powers all movement.
Muscles can be classified based on their general shape OE the fibers reflects the function of the muscles.
Cardiac Muscles
The rhythmic movements of cardiac muscles are governed by the heart's natural pacemaker, the sinoatrialnode, which is itself controlled by the autonomic nervous system.
Skeletal Muscles
skeletal muscles is controlled by the brain and spinal cord. skeletal muscles allows the body to move.
